Gold Top Collective Ltd is a digital agency in the UK. We build, host and look after websites and software for our clients.
This page describes our internal tools platform, the application our team signs into with a Google account. It is not a public product. It is not sold, licensed or made available to anyone outside our team, and there is no public sign-up.
What the Tools Do
The platform is how our team runs client work day to day. It covers three things.
Client reporting
Our reporting tool, Marlowe, produces the regular search performance reports we give clients. It brings together a client's own Google Analytics, Google Search Console and Google Ads figures for their website into a single written report. Clients receive the finished report. They do not have access to the tool.
Email and document handling
Our tools file, search and send email on behalf of the team member who has signed in, and read and store documents relating to client projects, so that project correspondence and files stay organised without being copied by hand between systems.
Scheduling
Our tools read and write calendar entries for the team member who has signed in, so that project work, client calls and deadlines stay in one place.
The Google Data We Ask For, and Why
We only ever ask for what a specific feature needs, and only from the account of the person signing in.
- Your name, email address and profile - so we know who has signed in, and so we can check the account belongs to our team before letting it in. Access is limited to our own email domains.
- Gmail: read, send and modify - so the tools can find and file the correspondence relating to a project, and send email on your behalf when you ask them to. We do not read email belonging to anyone who has not signed in and granted access.
- Google Drive - so the tools can read and store the documents and files relating to a client project.
- Google Calendar - so the tools can read and add entries relating to project work and client meetings.
We do not sell any of this data, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it to train AI models. It is used only to provide the features described above to the person who granted access.
Some of our reporting also reads a client's Google Analytics, Search Console and Google Ads data. That access is granted by the client on their own account, to a service account rather than to any individual, and it is read-only for reporting.
Removing Access
You can withdraw access at any time from your Google Account permissions page at myaccount.google.com/permissions. You can also ask us to delete data we hold by emailing hello@goldtopcollective.com.
