Little Bird Told Me design award-winning children’s toys. They were our first ever client, and seven years later we still look after the systems their business runs on.
littlebirdtoldme.com, trading in three international markets
In 2019, our first ever invoice went to Little Bird Told Me. The work wasn’t a website. It was the operational plumbing behind one: integrating their courier’s label API, importing drop-ship orders, getting order weights right. That work grew into their bespoke back-office despatch system, which we’ve developed and maintained ever since: multi-currency landed costs, packing lists, automated exchange rates, and most recently two-factor authentication and an automated deployment pipeline.
Their online store runs the business day to day, so we keep it healthy: hosting migrations, error monitoring, checkout fixes, international market setup, and a plugin stack that we patch ourselves when third parties are slow. Dozens of compatibility issues fixed before a single customer noticed.
Seven years of growth eventually outgrew the platform, so we’re moving them from WooCommerce to Shopify as part of their ongoing monthly retainer, not as a separate project. Every product, customer, order, page and redirect mapped and verified: 4,800+ orders, 463 SEO redirects, three international markets, volumetric shipping rules, and live stock sync with the despatch system we built.
The client drops requests and feedback straight onto a shared board. AI does the heavy lifting. A human checks everything before it ships. Seven years in, the tools have transformed. The standard hasn’t.
